The preschool ministry is a special place for children birth to pre-k. We are thankful for the opportunity to help preschoolers learn about the love of Jesus during these formative years. First Baptist Church believes each child is a special gift from God and looks forward to watching these kids grow in Christ through Sunday school, music, missions, and various other activities throughout the year.
Programs are offered each Sunday morning and Wednesday night along with a variety of special events throughout the year.
Sunday Morning Schedule

Families should check in near the north entrance of the church off North 3rd Street. Volunteers will be present to answer questions and help in any way.

As a ministry of First Baptist Church, our goal is to provide activities and guidance as children learn about the love of Jesus. Our Preschool program strives to enrich the spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, and social development of children ages birth to pre-K.
The purpose of First Friends Preschool is to create a Christian environment where each child learns and develops to the best of his/her ability. Our program offers a core foundation of learning activities, as well as Spanish, Sign Language, music, and chapel.
What We Do
First Friends Preschool, a ministry of First Baptist Church, is a Mother’s Day Out held two days a week for ages 6 weeks through Pre-K.
Our program hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Mother’s Day Out
Mother’s Day Out for ages 6 weeks to 2 years, is a program designed to provide parents with a regular block of time that is separate from their children to meet personal and family needs. This provides children opportunities to learn social, verbal, and language skills as well as work on gross and fine motor skills. Children are introduced to a foundation of recognition for letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc., which translate to preschool.
Preschool
Our Preschool program, for ages 3 years to 5 years, strives to enrich the spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, and social development of children. Our purpose is to create an environment in which each child learns and develops to the best of his/her ability through a high quality curriculum and various programs. As a ministry of First Baptist Church, our goal is to provide activities and guidance as children learn about the love of Jesus. Services offered include, but are not limited to:
- Spanish
- Sign Language
- Music
- Increased educational concepts encompassing phonics, sight words, rhyming words, beginning math skills and review of basic concepts in a center-type learning environment.
2025-2026 Enrollment will open April 2, 2025
2025- 2026 Tuition
Registration Fee: $75.00 per year non-refundable
Special Activities fee: $50.00 per year non-refundable
Monthly Tuition: $190 per month and is due on the first of each month.
If payment is not received by the 15th of the month a $15 late fee will be charged.
Multiple Child Discounts:
There will be a discount of $15 per child for multiple children enrolled in our program.
2025 Summer Program
First Friends offers a six week Tuesday/Thursday summer session for ages 6 weeks to 5th grade. Our summer program will run from June 10-July 17, 2025.
Summer enrollment will open March 24th.

Registration fee: $50.00 per child non-refundable
Field Trip & Activities Fee: $25.00 non-refundable (K-5 only)
Summer Tuition: $300 for the entire summer session and is due on the first day.
